Can you believe it? I mean, Christmas is less than a week away, YES! OhMyGod! This time of year flies by so fast, and I feel like it was only the beginning of autumn last week. To be honest, I haven’t finished my Christmas shopping, but at the same time I don’t want to go to the shops ’cause I know it will be jammed packed with people. For example, I went to a shop yesterday to buy food, and it was packed with people on a weekday, A WEEKDAY!! WHAT?!. I can’t imagine what it would be like on Saturday or even Sunday in the morning. NO, I am not going there, I’m staying home! I don’t know you, but if there are too many people in a shop I tend not to go in there, I don’t feel comfortable, I need to have time and not pushed and rushed.
A year ago, I went to Galerie Lafayette with a friend, and I found this -let’s call it- “almost ready” preparation to make gingerbread men. I thought it was an excellent idea, bought it, put in my cupboard and never thought of it again… Until last week, I was searching for ideas and recipes that I could do, and I immediately thought of the preparation. Went through a lil search in my cupboards to find it, looked at the ingredients I needed to have and tadah, I had everything. That’s how I decided to bake for THE FIRST TIME my mini gingerbread man.
Yesterday, I decided it was time for me to bake those lil guys! Super simple, you just need to mix the preparation with butter and an egg, then you can roll it out and use the biscuit cutter provided to cut your little men. Bake them for 10-15 minutes and voila! Done, ready to be munched. I was really excited to make them yesterday! And to get them inside my belly! I made around fourteen and if I listened to myself, I would have eaten all of them.
I knew I wanted to talk about it here, so I needed to resist if I wanted to snap some nice pictures. I may or may not have tried one, to make sure they were as delish as they looked! I can truly say, they are DELICIOUS! I decided to send a picture to my mum, let’s say, now, I know what I need to bring to my parents’ house for Christmas!
I would love to try every other product they have in this brand now! I looked on the website, and they have sooo many, they even have a brunch box! I think this is my next purchase! And I forgot to tell you; everything is organic! HELL YEAH! What do you think I should try next?
Since Christmas is around the corner and this post isn’t a recipe, I still wanted to share a recipe to make gingerbread men. I looked on Marlette’s website for a recipe, but I couldn’t find any. Went on the internet and found lots and lots of recipes but this has almost the same ingredients as my almost ready preparation, decided to share it!
